RISER - THE NEW FEATURES

Hidetopspeed2

Set the pace

We’re all familiar with it. Going a little over the speed limit can happen occasionally, sometimes quite easily. Now, we’ve included the option to hide those single moments by hiding the top speed of your trip from others. You choose whether you want to use it or maybe will never need it, but just in case, it’s there.

Hidestartend

You love to share a new route, but prefer to keep some things to yourself

By and large, you love to share route experiences with others, however, not everybody needs to know where you live or park your bike. One of the key aspects of the RISER app is the networking within the app community, but nevertheless, privacy and the protection of the personal sphere of life remain equally important to us. That’s why from now on you can hide the start and end of your trips and activate this feature even after your trip has ended.

Autopause2

Time for a break

If you want to take a break, maybe just to get some fuel, have a quick coffee or even for enjoying a great view, you no longer have to worry about actively pausing and resuming your trip. The new Auto Pause feature will automatically detect if you stop during your ride for any reason, and resume your trip whenever you’re back on the road.

TRIUMPH TIGER 1200 - A TEST BY MOTORRADMAGAZIN

Published by CLEMENS KOPECKY at 13 dicembre 2017 in Articoli
The dried-up river bed blurs in front of my burning eyes. Drops of sweat tickle on the scalp under my motocross helmet. Even the Gore-Tex membrane seems to have long since given up its mission of allowing water vapour to pass through to the outside of my riding suit. In the sauna, now would be the time to pour water onto the rocks. But it’s late autumn in southern Spain and I never thought I would get so sweaty when riding a motorcycle at just over ten degrees Celsius...

Well, this morning starts early as usual, as my military service gave me one of the best and worst traits in the world, not being able to sleep well. So, I get up to watch the sunrise in one of my favourite spots. From my home in Shellharbour I travel through Port Kembla, Scarborough, Coalcliff, all the way up to Bald Hill. Which is where I want to watch the sunrise. Getting there at 5 o’clock, as bright orange glow starts to hit the Horizon...

The morning sunshine at Loch Ken wakes me up on Friday the 18th of August and reminds me to pack up my tent and everything that belongs to it. My breakfast is quick and sufficient and I’m off to the next ferry from Scotland to Northern Ireland. I buy the ticket for the short crossing directly on the spot. If you are alone or in pairs you can be so spontaneous...

EN ROUTE TO THE WILD ATLANTIC WAY: PART 2

Published by MARC STEINHARDT at 26 novembre 2017 in Articoli
At the end of the first chapter, Marc Steinhardt left the European mainland behind and now continues his British-Irish motorcycle adventure after spending the first night in the camping tent. After a surprisingly restful night and a self-made breakfast (scrambled eggs etc.), I start to put all my camping stuff back on the bike. Of course, it doesn't turn out as easily and space-optimized as it had at home...

At the very first minute it is there, the symbol of a depraved youth who won’t listen anymore, a symbol of the emerging subculture of the 1960s and to this day a biker symbol, the Iron Cross. Only Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister wore it better, as right now as it’s just dangling around Peter Fonda's neck ...

THE CURVES ON THE ROAD: BOHEMIAM PARADISE - ČESKI RAJ

Published by CAETHE / THE CURVES at 17 novembre 2017 in Percorsi
*Bohemian Paradise - Česky Ráj* is the name of the country just behind the border, it is almost untouched by tourism, and yet it is so beautiful that one can cry 😭 Behind every corner there is a castle, there are endless curves, even mountains (our Austrian calls it 'high hill'), quirky hamlets, caves to ride in and beer in exact temperature specifications.
